I needed a new coffee maker because mine finally died after years of overuse. I almost ordered one online for about $70, but something in me said, “Nope, not paying that right now.” I decided to wait it out and just suffer with instant coffee for a bit. Honestly, it wasn’t fun, but I held off.
A week later, my neighbor was moving out. Sitting by the curb was a perfectly fine coffee maker. I asked if it was up for grabs, they said yes, and I happily took it. Plugged it in, cleaned it up, and it works perfectly.
Sometimes patience and a little stubbornness can save you money in unexpected ways.
