I used to live just off las Olas from 2002-2010. Watched them build the River House, used to party at Riverfront and Tarpon Bend. I moved to the west coast of Florida and while I still kept up a little with the goings on downtown nothing could have prepared me for what I saw returning to my old hood today walking around after a cruise out of Port Everglades. They actually built the icon! So many new buildings! Where the f did Riverfront go?! It was a wild trip like something out of a dream. What’s the vibe like with all the new buildings? Do they each have their own character? Really wish I could have spent more than a few hours but curious if an old timer like me would like living there still.
