Tips for new resident

Hello everyone!

My partner and I (both mid 30s) are moving to Fort Lauderdale in mid July. We already have an apartment, in Flagler Village. We are moving from NYC, so it’s a big change for us.

Do you have any tips once we are there? Things like best grocery store to go, best ISP to get, places to know and where we can meet new people. I’ve read somewhere that you could register yourself (or your car) so you get some type of discount for parking places. We love going to the beach, any tip where is the best beach to go nearby? Anyway, some general tips would be awesome.
