Places to live cheaply near the Broward courthouse

Hello everyone,

I know it’s still a little early, but I’ll be in Fort Lauderdale summer of 2026 for an internship and wanted to get a head start on my housing search.

I’ve never been to Fort Lauderdale (or Florida in general), so I’m not really familiar with the housing/sublease situation. I just need to be relatively close to the courthouse, and ideally in an area with some good bars and restaurants nearby.

Any neighborhood recommendations? I’m looking for a cheaper sublease since the internship is paid, but not super well. Any help is appreciated.
