Looking for veterinarian referrals - cat needs to be put down, funds are limited

Hi,

A good friend of mine has been taking care of a formerly stray cat for many years.

He took it to the vet and found that is has stomach cancer and was advised to put it down as quality of life dwindled.

Unfortunately, he doesn't have much money and is trying to find a solution now that the cat is at end of life.

He doesn't want to surrender it to be put down because he feels it would be failing his cat to not be there for it.

I am not local, just want to help a friend who is at their wits end and struggling to figure out resources.
