I’m in Boca Raton for a few weeks. I’m from a smaller city in the north east where 20 miles any direction will take you to the sticks, and the major metro areas are 1 hour/70-80 miles apart. Theres small villages in between but often very basic amenities. Nothing like Miami metro area.
I’ve talked to a few people local to this area. They look at me funny when I say I drive down to homestead/coconut creek/downtown Miami/Ft Lauderdale(food, shopping, attractions etc) when my stay is in Boca Raton.
Curious do most people here tend to stay centralized where they reside(grocery, shopping, leisure time etc) How far are y’all commuting for work? Do y’all never visit nearby cities?
Back at home I’m usually within a 10 mile radius of my house mainly because if I keep going there’s nothing but trees.
