Ft Lauderdale water burns eyes when showering

For the last few months, the water in my house burns my eyes when showering. Hot water, cold water, before soap, after soap. I’ve tried all different variations and the constant is that the water burns / irritates my eyes. Even steam from the shower after a few minutes irritates. Roommates, unprompted, mentioned it too a few months ago about the same time I noticed. I don’t notice it always. Anyone else experience this or is this an issue with the pipes / house I rent?
