FLL airport two hour wait

I am traveling to FLL. My flight arrives at 9am. My travel partner's flight doesn't arrive until 11am. Will I be able to wait in concourse area (where I assume there will be food and other amenities) or will I be forced to move to the baggage/pre security area.
