Can I sleep at the airport?

Hello Guys :)

In a few weeks I'm coming to fort Lauderdale. Some context, I'm european M25 and I'm solo travelling and my flight is scheduled to arrive on 17th of july at 1 am. I booked a room in a hostel for the 18th, and I was wondering if the night of my arrival I could sleep at the airport, in order to wake up in the morning and save the money for one night at the hostel. My main worry is if it's legal, so please let me know if it's something I can do without worrying to much. I was also thinking on bringing an hammock and hang it somewhere, or maybe that's too much.
