Best places to stay?

My husband and I are coming down for a concert next month. I’m just wondering what areas are the best to stay in? We’re only going to be staying two nights so it doesn’t have to be anything fancy. Is it worth finding a place on the beach? Or stay further inland? We’re both from a town with a beach so the beach isn’t a necessity. We are looking for something close to restaurants though!
