Bella and I Had Incredible Luck Today in Pompano Beach — Lost Gold Glasses Found & Faith in Humanity Restored

1 month ago 21

Grateful for the kindness of Pompano Beach today ❤️

Today at Pompano Beach reminded me just how good people can be.

While catching waves with my nonverbal autistic toddler, my glasses were swept away in the ocean. What could have easily turned into a stressful and frustrating situation instead became an unforgettable display of kindness.

From the gentleman who offered to hold my daughter’s hand so I could search, to the woman I had interrupted from sunbathing who immediately jumped in to help, to the lifeguard who called in backup — thank you. A special shout-out as well to what appeared to be a mother and her daughter who came by and jumped right in to help look. Very, very kind people.

And especially to the gentleman who spent nearly an hour genuinely trying to help recover a pair of glasses — your effort did not go unnoticed.

What I thought might be the start of a very aggravating chain of events turned into something completely different. Even though our beach time was cut short, we were able to soak up the sun, miss the snowstorm back in Boston, and most importantly, meet incredible people who restored a lot of faith in humanity.

Moments like this give you real hope in the world. May God bless every one of you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Until next time — we’ll be more careful and stay longer. 🌊☀️
