Basketball Courts being demolished? FTL beach park

Hey everyone, just noticed a guy out here putting signs up at the basketball courts in Ft Lauderdale Beach Park stating

“Coming soon, Basketball court conversion to pickleball. - contact 954-828-8000 for more info”

I called and just got re routed around without speaking to anyone who could provide info.

Does anyone have any further info on this? I was told it was due to St Regis being built across the street.

Does anyone know if the workout / calisthenics area directly next to the basketball court will be demolished as well?

I know a lot of people in the community who play at these courts nightly , it won’t be the same.
